Brown adjusts roster
Leicester Riders Coach
Karl Brown has adjusted
his roster ahead of the
weekend's action. Brown
has added centre Steve
McGlothin and guard
Sammy Salter on a
week-to-week basis,
whilst Dave Keeley has
been released from the
roster.
5'11
Salter will bring some
valuable experience to
the Riders guard
department having
enjoyed previous spells
in the UK with
Birmingham Bullets,
London Towers and
Worthing Bears. For 6'9"
Steve McGlothin it is a
return to the club which
he represented during
the 2000/01 season.
Riders Coach Karl Brown
is hoping that in both
McGlothin and Salter he
will have found the
missing key to the
Riders shortcomings to
date. He said of his new
signings "Steve will
give us some experience
inside and should help
us both offensively and
on the boards. Sammy's
been around the league
for a few years and he's
not scared to shoot the
ball. These two guys
will give us a bit more
strength in depth and I
think we need that."
Riders are action twice
this weekend, taking on
the Scottish Phoenix
Honda Record Rocks on
Saturday at the John
Sandford Centre (7.30pm)
and the Birmingham
Bullets on the road on
Sunday.
